The Melody Within

I have been battling sore throats since I got back from Latvia and for the past few days some eye infection thing.
My body aches, so being in bed is all I feel like. My throat hurts so I don't feel like talking to anyone. Yesterday I stayed home from church due to my eyes being
extremely bad and pretty much swollen shut. As bad as that was before Robert left he turned on The Sound of Music for me and I realized that truly great movies you don't have to watch.
The soundtrack, songs and words can make the music just as rich of an experience as the cinematography. Some movies you could listen to and have no idea what is happening
others you can tell for the notes of the orchastra. Lord of the Rings was amazing about this. I would like all movies I make to be such a rich experience that though every note blends perfectly
it also stands alone making the sounds alone making it worthwhile.
Next time you have some sickness (not a headache) that affects your eyes try popping in an Old Musical and watching it with your ears.
Some I suggest are "Sound of Music" "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" or "Fiddler on the Roof".

I really liked this post. :) Musicals are the best movies to "Watch with your ears." Hope you feel better soon. :)
