Of Pickles, and Beans and Chocolate Sausage

Today  was a day of relxation.
Me, Shaina and Ari didn't even make appearances until almost 11am.
We had honey bread for breakfest and shortly thereafter had lunch.
Elizabeth had some housework to do today-canning largely-so she had Shaina, Matthew and I pick beans and cucumbers for her. I love picking stuff from the garden. I always used to help my parents with it when I lived at home. Well since Elizabeth was making pickles she sent me and Shaina to the store for garlic. Daniel wanted to come along so we took him. Shaina gave him  shoulder ride quite aways. =) He LOVED that.
At the store we pushed around a cart that had  car for him to sit in so he had a blast.
It was a lovely walk.
This evening Elizabeth made dinner, canned, went and got Raimonds car so we can drive to Riga tomorrow. We will shop and walk til we drop I guess. Elina is babysitting for Daniel and Amelia and Janis will be working (he works 11-8 all week poor fellow) but the rest of us are eager to go.
Oh-and me and her made chocolate sausage.
And this evening we watched another episode of Dr. Quinn...Elizabeth is really enjoying that it seems.
One thing I have been very impressed with is Shaina's quickness at picking up Latvian. She keeps coming in with  delighted smile and  new word.
Well folks, that's it for tonight. I will put some pictures online and hit the hay.
