This week is again kinda loopy.
Not as crazy but still wow.
Wednesday I worked 10-3 again. My parents are moving to Fremont this weekend and they stopped in to see me.
It was an INSANE lunch hour. That night Dad came over for supper and than Robert and I hit the hay at six o clock with only an hour of being awake before going to bed again. We were beat!
Thursday morning I got up at 5:45 we went and worked out from 6:30-7:00 and then I went to the hotel with my Mom and Dad and visited.
I was really sick though. I decided at the beginning of the day to try and make it through without nausea medicine. It was bad though. We had a lovely visit. Once they checked out we went to the Library and me and my Mom visited Alex at Odds and End's which was very nice.
After that we went to Pizza Ranch and then I showed my Mom all the stockings back at the house. That was fun! She liked them a lot!
Then we went to Pamida where they spoiled me and bought me some new black work shoes. Thank you Marmie and Daddy! =)
They took took me home after that and I took a short nap before going to work. From the morning all day I was fine but the INSTANT I went into work nausea hit full force and I kept having to throw up, take drinks and sit down. It was ridiculous-and insanely busy.
Me and another guy, Jason, were prepping the dough and then he was told me he'd finish so I could leave. So I left and walked to Border Fare and just sat there and ran to get sick. About 20 minutes before they closed I felt a little better and helped a tiny bit. We came home and hit the hay right away again.
Today was weird: Robert didn't work this morning and no one went to class so the house was silent and I kept waking up and expecting to hear people moving around. Finally I got to and got ready for work and worked 10-3. Once again, crazy busy. I walked to Border Fare then and sat reading Chronicles from 3-5:30 with random pauses all over the place.
Tonight I am half hyper/half totally exhausted. I was aching to blog though-as lame as that may sound.
I was thinking recently as I was sitting how everywhere you go you are known by something-usually various things. For example customers who come into restaurants have reputations whether they realize it or not. And everyone know what those people are like because they come in frequently and you just know. Somethings are not that big a deal: you see someones face and know they will order a diet pop and a ham/cheese sandwich. Or a Little Grande no onions. You don't have to ask and they don't have to tell and they know it. It's strange how predictable people are. Other people can simply have their name come up on the board and everyone dreads them coming because you know'll they'll complain no matter what. Some come in and everyone is excited. They are REALLY nice or they tip good. You learn when to put extra of something when not to put it at all. I am really not going anywhere particular with this thought in case you were wondering, only...think what impression you leave on people who serve you at stores and restaurants. You can make or ruin someones day...
Pizza Hut is an interesting chain. They have Pizza Hut ALL over the world. And it would seem they were all connected and above them all would be one person. Kinda like at KFC, Wendy's etc...Pizza Hut is not like that. In our area (Nebraska, Iowa) The Pizza Hut's are known as Peak Interest L.L.C. In charge of them is a man named, Joe. It boggles my mind that he OWNS them and there is no higher person WE can get in trouble with at Pizza Hut. I understand there must be a committee and terms each owner of an area must agree too but still while some things are Pizza Hut policy in general and some specials are almost everywhere a lot of specials are JUST that area. Now below Joe there is a another high up manager followed by area managers who have 10-15 Pizza Huts they are in charge of. The area manager gets in trouble with Joe if his Pizza Hut's labor is too high, sales to low or anything major goes wrong. Below our area manager, Glenn their are the RGM (General Managers) followed by Assistant Managers. General Managers are required NO MATTER WHAT to work certain days: Super Bowl Sunday, New Years etc. Usually one works morning and the other evening. Under the circumstances that neither the RGM or Assistant can not work it Shift Managers are in charge. Beneath all of them are cooks, waits, drivers. Also the Area Manager can send any employee at any Pizza Hut in his area to work at a different Pizza Hut in the area for a shift if another Pizza is under staffed in anyway...Anywho...I find it all very intriguing. =)
Hope I didn't out everyone to sleep.

I liked the part about how you just know some customers. We have some people like that at Hy-Vee too. For example there is one lady who comes in almost every day around 5 or 6 and buys at least one, but usually two boxes of donuts and not much else, and never takes them out herself. She always drives up. (I used to think that she must live exclusively on donuts, but I was told she owns a gas station and resells them as day old donuts the next day.)
But I really liked your greater point to that thought. That is how I always try to act when I go anywhere. Some would think I care too much about what other people think, and maybe I do, but I always have felt that you should treat others the way you want to be treated. And for Christians it's even more important because we're representing Christ, even if we're not witnessing with our mouths, we're witnessing with our actions. This goes for at work too. There are some jobs that I hate doing, but I do them without complaining, because A. they need to be done whether I want to or not, and B. I know how the people who voice their opinions on jobs they hate are viewed by the rest of the staff. Hint: They are not looked on favorably.
When I go anywhere, which really isn't very often, I hate to complain about anything. Unless something is terribly wrong I really don't want to come off as rude to someone who is serving me. Although this could backfire on me, because I read that the real Buddha died of food poisoning because he was too polite to tell his friend that the food he gave him tasted bad and he ate it anyway.
Anyway, good post today. I'm glad that your parents have finally found a place to live. I know from your mom's facebook posts that she has not liked moving, so hopefully this will be a much more permanent home than the last one.
