Grand Events

Today I was thinking about bucket lists and wondering why I have such a TERRIBLE time getting them remotely done.
I think I've figured it out partly:
See, I always like to imagine up grand events that will magically take place. They almost never do and it's really not that odd.
Life has grand events yes; being born, starting school, getting married, having babies, death and etc. And those grand events while they do often change the direction of our lives they are only a very small portion. As long I as I try to go through life going for one event after the other I won't accomplish much at all.
Why?
I am discovering life is a process or journey. Like being pregnant for example, it will quite the event when this little one is born but without the process of developing the event would never happen.
This is also why I have not accomplished so many of my goals...if you just go after the event it's far less meaningful then the actual process of getting to that point. The event wouldn't exist without the journey.
Perhaps, if I take this mentality I'll actually accomplish more even if it seems agonizingly slow.
Which it does.
I do hope to accomplish a lot of my bucket lists and then to make new ones and so forth and so on but for now I'm trying to just get the first one done-which is amazingly hard.

So as to my actual progress:
32 Chapters into Genesis
199 Pages into Pilgrim's Progress
Meal of the week is made
Fur Elise is coming along quite nicely (I'm re-learning it)
And Galatians is almost ready to be quoted to some bored and unsuspecting victim. =)

Oooh! And let us not forget...
tomorrow is my 23rd birthday!
I may post again today just about that!!!!!!!!!!!!
